Officer Candidates from Indonesia attend training in Hawaii with ROTC and National Guard OCS

The Hawaii National Guard’s State Partnership Program recently facilitated an exchange between officer candidates from the Indonesian Military and the University of Hawaii’s Reserve Officers' Training Corps and the Hawaii Army National Guard’s Officer Candidate School. The State partnership program is a department of defense program that is managed by the National Guard. The programs goal is cultivate enduring relationships that enhance regional stability and influence. The Program partners up one State’s National Guard program with an allied U.S. country to facilitate growth in military and civilian operations. Hawaii has had a partnership with Indonesia since 2006

During the weeklong exchange, the Indonesian Officer candidates participated in training along side candidates from the UH and Hawaii Army National Guard programs. They reviewed basic squad maneuvers, learned how to load and unload a squad out of a Blackhawk Helicopter, and were put through the paces in a culminating three day field training exercise nights that included various hole up techniques, operational lanes with attack and counter attack scenarios and a nighttime land navigation exercise.

For Digital Vaccine Record Request:

If you got your COVID-19 vaccine through the state, public health department or pharmacy, you may be able to request a Digital Vaccine record through the California Immunizations Registry (CAIR) by visiting https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/

If you got your COVID-19 vaccine through the 412th MDG/Edwards AFB, you may request your record be sent to CAIR in order to obtain a Digital Vaccine Record, using the following steps:

1. Log into MHS Genesis Patient Portal (use DS Login or CAC card): https://patientportal.mhsgenesis.health.mil/

2. Send a message to “USAF EDWARDS PHARMACY COMMUNICATION” with phone number and/or email to associate with your vaccine record request.

3. Wait for a reply to your message before requesting through CAIR site (above). 

**Note – it is taking a few weeks to process requests due to overwhelming numbers and backlog. This is a manual data entry push, so please be patient.
