Automotive Equipment Dispatcher (NK-2151-02) Published July 28, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Automotive Equipment Dispatcher (NK-2151-02) to work at the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFTC), at the 412th Civil Engineering Group / 812th Civil Engineering Squadron, Fire and Emergency Services Flight at Edwards Air Force Base, California. In this position, you will serve as a Fire Alarm and Communication Center dispatcher responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls. When appropriate, you will dispatch crews to emergency incidents for a Fire and Emergency Services Flight of over 120 personnel, responding out of 5 stations, and headquarters. Incumbent also operates the Civil Engineer Service Call function during non-administrative hours, supporting over 4,000 facilities, 8,400 calls annually. Announcement Closes: 12 Aug 2026. Major Duties: - Operate all emergency and non-emergency systems, components and operations that involve the transfer of information to first responders, utilizing information technology systems - Maintain a thorough knowledge of service call procedures, i.e.: receiving emergency calls, initiating job order forms, dispatching standby service technicians on emergency service calls, and coordinating problem solutions with the on-duty Assistant Chief for Operations - Ensures systems, components and operations that involve the transfer of information over a distance utilizing electrical or electronic means are functioning and able to accommodate the communication needs of the FES Flight.
