Munitions Maintenance Mechanic, WG-6501-5T11 Published June 18, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Munitions Maintenance Mechanic, WG-6501-5T11 to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Maintenance Group, 412th Maintenance Squadron, Munitions Flight (MXMW) at Edwards AFB, in Edwards, CA. The primary purpose of this position is: To perform intermediate-level maintenance of munitions, to include related components and equipment; and to participate in the development and validation of new maintenance/inspection procedures. Location: Edwards, California, Edwards AFB, California Typical 2026 salary range: $31.68 - $57.00 per hour (includes Locality) Areas of Consideration (AOC): Installation - wide (Edwards Air Force Base) Desired Skills: - 2 years of experience in warehouse environment desired - 2 years of experience working with Word, Excel, etc. - Collaborating with supervisors, logistics staff, and other flight personnel Major Duties: - Assists with receiving, storing, handling, transporting, unloading and unpacking munitions. - Assists with maintaining storage facilities. Adheres to instructions given regarding nonnuclear safety and security rules and practices. - Assists with reconditioning of munitions and handling equipment. Assists with the repair and replacement of defective or missing parts. - Assists with munitions inventories, operates Automated Data Processing Equipment to process munitions transactions and assists with custody account support.
