Management Assistants (NK-0344-02) Published June 5, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for (2) Full-Time Management Assistants (NK-0344-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing, 412 Operations Group, 420 Flight Test Squadron (420 FLTS/DOOE) at Edwards Air Force Base. Provides routine/non-routine support to assigned personnel for accomplishing functional duties and various program execution activities in established and specialized areas. Work supports efforts to evaluate or improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organization, associated support functions and programs using records, reports, forms, directive, and management processes. Announcement Length/Closes: 6/20/2026 Location: Edwards AFB, CA Typical 2026 salary range: $47,490 - $76,476 per year (includes Locality) Areas of Consideration (AOC): Department – wide (DoD) Desired Skills: - Experience in administrative support in a military or aerospace front office - Experience with calendar management and meeting coordination for leadership - Prior experience preparing official memos and correspondence - Defense Travel System (DTS), Microsoft Office Suite in a government or military environment is desired - Experience cultivating a positive and dependable presence working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment Major Duties: - As the expert in the administrative field, provide advisory, consulting, and reviewing services for management operations and support functions. - Identifies policy on all administrative matters, including but not limited to, staffing document through the higher command levels, applying technical writing and proofreading expertise in issues affecting policy and objectives. - Applies knowledge of management requirements to determine whether package is ready for the senior leadership decision assessing whether all issues which need to be addressed have been documented. - Manages the awards/recognition program to include preparation and processing of certificates of service, retirements, awards, and other actions; ensuring applicable rule, regulations and procedures are complied with. - Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs within the office. Ensures unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives. Responsible to support program spanning task management, Government Travel card (GTC) program. Government Purchase card program (GPC), safety program, Automated Data Processing equipment APDP accounts, supply program, and civilian time card program.
