Materials Handler Leader (Tools and Parts Attendant) WL-6907-06 -912 AMXS Published June 3, 2026 About the Role: The 412th Maintenance Group is looking for a Full-Time Materials Handler Leader (Tools and Parts Attendant) WL-6907-06 to work at the 412 TW, 412 MXG, 912 AMXS, MXAB at Edwards AFB, CA. The primary purpose of this position is: To lead three or more workers to accomplish trades and/or labor work on a substantially full-time and continuing basis. Leader is responsible to both perform the work assigned by a supervisor and ensures that subordinates completed assigned work consistent with trades and labor standard for the Logistics Support Section (LSS) in the 412 MXG. Edwards Air Force Base) Desired Skills: - At least 1 year experience at WG-6907-06 or WG-6904-06 required - 1 year HAZMAT attendant - 1 year tool room attendant - Working knowledge of Air Force instructions and T.O. usage Major Duties: - Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers. - Performs nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led - Controls Hazmat and supplies a thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental rules, regulations, and statutes which are pertinent to the issues being worked - Oversees the implementation of the master formal training plan; conducts training to refresh or broaden the skills of experienced material handlers working with a wide range of hazardous materials, tools, technical orders and bench stock supplies. - Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
