Materials Handler Leader (Tools and Parts Attendant) WL-6907-06 -912 AMXS Published June 3, 2026 About the Role: The 412th Maintenance Group is looking for a Full-Time Materials Handler Leader (Tools and Parts Attendant) WL-6907-06 to work at the 412 TW, 412 MXG, 912 AMXS, MXAB at Edwards AFB, CA. The primary purpose of this position is: To lead three or more workers to accomplish trades and/or labor work on a substantially full-time and continuing basis. Leader is responsible to both perform the work assigned by a supervisor and ensures that subordinates completed assigned work consistent with trades and labor standard for the Logistics Support Section (LSS) in the 412 MXG. Edwards Air Force Base Typical 2026 salary range: $36.10 - $42.11/per hour (includes Locality) Travel Requirements: No Travel Areas of Consideration (AOC): Installation - wide (Edwards, CA. Edwards Air Force Base) Desired Skills: - At least 1 year experience at WG-6907-06 or WG-6904-06 required - 1 year HAZMAT attendant - 1 year tool room attendant - Working knowledge of Air Force instructions and T.O. usage Major Duties: - Leads a team of trades and/or labor workers. - Performs nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led - Controls Hazmat and supplies a thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental rules, regulations, and statutes which are pertinent to the issues being worked - Oversees the implementation of the master formal training plan; conducts training to refresh or broaden the skills of experienced material handlers working with a wide range of hazardous materials, tools, technical orders and bench stock supplies. - Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
