Supply Technician (NJ-2005-02) Published May 5, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) is looking for a Full-Time Supply Technician (NJ-2005-02) to work at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) at 412 TW/OL-Plant 42/LG at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, CA. This position: Provide Vehicle Maintenance Supply support, to include Government Purchasing (GPC), accountability of parts, tools and equipment. Coordinating supply requirements to effectively manage vehicle maintenance activities; to include parts ordering research, tracking, material shipment coordination, tool control/accountability, warehouse support. Functional user of The Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) and Air Force Record Management functions. The Logistics Branch, Vehicle Management Section is responsible for overall management, operation and maintenance of the unit’s vehicle fleet and accounts for, operates, and maintains vehicle assets so they are safe, efficient, environmentally sound and meet mission needs. Announcement Length/Closes: 21 days Location: Palmdale, CA (USAF Plant 42) Typical 2026 salary range: $47,490 - $ 84,689 Per Year (includes Locality) Areas of Consideration (AOC): Department – wide (DoD) Desired Skills: - Experience in Supply in support of Air Force Vehicle Management; data input, tracking, tool control - Ability to plan and track long and short range maintenance requirements for a fleet of special purpose vehicles and equipment - A valid driver's license. Forklift experience - High degree of organization and communication skills. Major Duties: -Manages all aspects of vehicle maintenance supply operations pertaining to specialized parts and equipment ordering, tracking and receiving. -Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns. Accountability of funds/budgeting; GPC and within Supply system -Tool and parts accountability; etching, marking, in-checking/out-checking in system of record (ELMS), movement of cargo. - Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. - Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for vehicles and equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. - Performs administrative office support function; use multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents and databases.
