Training and Curriculum Specialist (NH-1701-02) Published April 24, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Training and Curriculum Specialist (NH-1701-02) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Force Support Squadron, Child and Youth Flight (412FSS/FSY) at Edwards AFB. The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the early childhood education specialist or youth development specialist for child and youth programs including child development centers, family child care, school-age, youth programs, and unique child care programs. To train program staff, volunteers, contractors, family child care providers, administrative, and food service staff. Desired Skills: -2 years of experience managing NAEYC, COA, or NAFCC accreditation processes desired -2 years of experience with special needs inclusion action planning desired -2 years of experience designing and implementing staff professional development programs desired Major Duties: -Oversees, develops, and revises curricula for various child development and youth programs. -Trains, role models, and mentors staff on curriculum implementation and positive classroom management. -Creates and implements a professional development plan through observation, coaching, and training. -Develops, conducts, and tracks orientation, annual, and specialized training for all personnel. -Supports children with special needs by ensuring legal compliance and coordinating with support agencies. -Trains staff on accommodating and providing care for children with complex medical or behavioral needs. -Develops plans to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and enhance program quality. -Serves as the principal point of contact for national accreditation and compliance inspections. -Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with various installation and community organizations. -Addresses customer concerns, resolves problems, and assists with parent education and involvement activities.
