About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Teen Program Coordinator (NH-0188-02) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Force Support Squadron, Teen Center (412FSS/FSYY) at Edwards AFB.

The primary purpose of this position is:  To serve as Teen Program Coordinator at an Air Force (AF) installation with responsibility for oversight of a diverse range of educational, recreational, fitness, and leisure programs aimed at promoting and enhancing the physical, social, and emotional development of teens ages 13 through 18.

Location: Edwards, CA (Edwards Air Force Base)

Typical 2026 salary range: $47,490 - $113,185 Per Year (includes Locality)

Areas of Consideration (AOC): Department – wide (DoD)

Incentives:

Desired Skills:

- 2 years of grant writing and fund acquisition experience desired

-2 years of experience managing Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) or 4-H programs desired

-2 years of digital marketing or social media management experience desired

Major Duties:

- Plans, organizes, and implements a diverse, year-round teen program focused on development, leadership, and achievement.

-Develops and implements program activities in core areas such as leadership, arts, fitness, life skills, and STEM.

-Implements required Boys & Girls Clubs of America, 4-H, and other specified youth programs.

-Monitors day-to-day operations and evaluates the effectiveness of teen programs and services.

-Provides guidance, leadership, and training to staff and volunteers on program implementation.

-Provides input for annual budgets, monitors expenditures, and identifies resource requirements.

-Researches, reviews, and applies for grants applicable to the teen program.

-Ensures a safe and healthy environment by conducting regular inspections and coordinating corrective actions.

-Applies guidelines to minimize and respond to potential child abuse and neglect.

-Assists in developing marketing strategies to promote the teen program and increase participation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position
