About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full Time Tools & Parts Attendant Supervisor, WS-6904-06 to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Maintenance Group, 412th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. 411th Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Edwards Air Force Base.

In this position you will exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work of the Logistics Support  Unit. 

Announcement Length/Closes: 2 weeks

Location: Edwards Air Force Base

Typical 2026 salary range: $46.20 - $53.89per hour (includes Locality)

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Areas of Consideration (AOC): Installation  – wide (Air Force Test Center, EAFB)

Desired Skills:

1 year experience as a Lead desired

4 years experience at WG-6907-06 or 6904-06 desired

2 years Hazmat attendant desired

Major Duties:

Plans on weekly or monthly basis the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials in an organizational segment or group.

Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors.

Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and /or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes.

Assures all workers understand and apply proper methods for tool control, calibration support, TO updates, ordering of supplies, materials, and parts, hazmat pharmacy and accumulation point procedures, and other activities.

Participates with employees in the development of performance plans.  Advises employees in advance of performance expectations and explains new work techniques, as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
  • Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest
  • Obtain & maintain Security clearance
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to qualify/maintain a flightline driver's license, operate government vehicles and AGE
  • Working knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools and equipment common to trades and labor work
  • May be required to work irregular shifts and rotating shifts
  • Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised primarily including work classifiable in Materials Handler; Tools & Parts Attendant, and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual  harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment
