Serve as Airspace Manager for R-2515 and/or R-2508 Central Coordinating Facility (CCF). Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and managing airspace in support of research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of ground, air, and space systems.. Major Duties: -Serve as Airspace Manager for R-2515 and/or R-2508 Central Coordinating Facility (CCF). -Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and managing airspace in support of research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of ground, air, and space systems and additional duties as assigned. -Acts in a confidential capacity to the 412th Test Wing, 412th Operations Group, 412 Operations Support Squadron and Airspace Management Team on "Special Access Programs." -Focal point for scheduling operations within the R-2508 Complex. -Compile airspace utilization data using the R-2508 Scheduling System and Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE). -Analyze data to determine ways to enhance use of airspace. -Disseminate airspace advisories via NOTAM, Daily Brief Sheet, and/or verbal notifications. -Develops and implements strategies that optimize the capacity and performance of the R-2515 and/or R-2508 CCF airspace. -The role requires working with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the airspace is flexible and responsive to the changing needs of users. -The job scope involves analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and developing strategies to optimize the airspace. -As the R-2508 Airspace Manager, function as the single-point-of-contact for release and recall of R-2508 Complex airspace. -Understand and actively represent the Commander and CCB's mission priorities, vision, and intent during interactions with users and other stakeholder, e.g. NASA, National Park Service, etc. -Establish customer alliances, anticipate and fulfill customer needs, and translate customer needs to programs or projects. -Conduct research and clearly present operational impact and recommendations to the 412 TW chain-of-command and the CCB on all programs and proposed projects effecting use of R-2515 and the R-2508 Complex. -Exhibit and foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork. -Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to coordinate work and keep chain-of-command, co-workers, and customers informed of issues, developments, and statuses, e.g. CCB, 412 TW/OG, etc. Qualifications/Requirements: -U.S. Citizenship -Required to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. -This is a designated Drug Testing Position -Completion of the USAF Military Airspace Management Course is desired but not required. Selected candidates who have not previously completed the course will be enrolled and must successfully complete it within six months of hire.
