Security Specialist (Security Forces Training Officer) (NH-0080-02) Published March 2, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Security Specialist (Security Forces Training Officer) (NH-0080-02) to work at 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, Operating Location Air Force Plant 42 at Palmdale CA. Purpose of position is to serve as a Security Forces Training Officer and to coordinate, implement, and provide training for Security Forces at Air Force Plant 42, a Government Owned-Contractor Operated industrial facility at 412th Test Wing Operating Location Air Force Plant 42, Palmdale, CA, 93550. Desired Skills: - 2 years of experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ability to conduct formal or informal presentations. - 2 years of experience with writing, formatting, and coordinating Department of Defense and Air Force plans or equivalent - Excellent time management skills Major Duties: - Serves as the focal point for the security forces training program, coordinating and implementing all training activities for the unit. - Ensures that all training program measures and actions taken comply with federal, DoW, Air Force, MAJCOM, and local rules, directives, instructions, requirements, and procedures. - Conducts training classes for security forces personnel. - Prepares lesson plans and teaches formal or informal training courses for personnel in various Security Forces functional activities in accordance with AFls and DoD policy. - Develops and monitors the accomplishment of security forces training plans and obtains and develops training aids and materials. - Attends, arranges, and conducts meetings, briefings, and workshops and performs other duties related to Security Forces training. Qualifications/Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - This is a designated Drug Testing Position - Department of War Physical Security Certification conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DOD Security Accreditation and Certification. - Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): approximately 14 days per year. - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. - Knowledge of a wide range of security forces policies, procedures and practices related to training functions. - Knowledge of overall security forces missions, functions, and structure. - Skill in developing course materials and instructional methods, principals, and techniques. ***Resumes limited to two pages.
