About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Management Analyst (Deficiency Analyst) (NH-0343-03) to work at the 412th Maintenance Group Maintenance Operations (412 MXG/MXOOA) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. 

Manages maintenance production systems and identifies deficiencies that decrease production throughput. Collects and analyzes maintenance data for trends. Works with maintenance managers to develop balanced solutions to production issues. Manages resource capacity forecasting tools and predictive analytics initiatives. Develops and sustains maintenance back-shop production metrics.

Typical 2026 salary range: $104,349 - $161,313 per year (includes Locality)

Desired Skills:

- 3 years of experience in maintenance analytical experience, aircraft status reporting, and aircraft documentation.

- 3 years of experience using Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS)

- 3 years of experience using IMDS for Mobility (G081)

- 3 years of experience using Office Products

Major Duties:

- Collects, reviews, and analyzes maintenance, production scheduling, supply, training, and quality assurance data for trends and defects.  Performs independent research and analysis on complex problems and leverages technical skills to identify effective solutions that cover a wide range of mission or organizational needs. 

- Manages resource capacity forecasting for aircraft, direct labor manpower, aircraft inspection dock, and back-shop repair capabilities.

- Updates and sustains Resource Availability Forecasting Tool (RAFT) used to review new organizational workload.

- Develops and integrates new models into the RAFT.  Works with subject-matter experts to identify workload constraints, dependent variables, and independent variables that affect production throughput.

- Establishes maintenance back-shop production analysis process.  Works directly with maintenance back-shop leadership to identify key production data elements and develop meaningful metrics that measure both leading and lagging indicators. Benchmarks efforts from other Air Force installations and Depot activities.

- Serve as an expert consultant and advisor to the Maintenance Group, Operations Group, tenant users, and all other base level users on matters pertaining to operations of the Integrated maintenance Data System and Core Automated Maintenance System for Mobility maintenance information systems.

- Provides assistance to all personnel in the area of maintenance information systems, data extraction, and interpretation to enable maximum responsiveness and effectiveness to Operations and Maintenance  documentation environments.

- Enhance analytical capabilities through use of programming of data mining utilities like Structured Query Language, Query Language Processor, and Interactive Query Utility.  Uses Global Command Support System - Air Force Data Services business intelligence report builders and Logistics, Installations, and Mission Support - Enterprise View software applications for analytical purposes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance

- Comprehensive knowledge of Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS) and the Core Automated Maintenance System for Mobility (G081) information systems.

- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.

- Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures summarizing results and making appropriate recommendations.

- Knowledge to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conceptualize, and devise innovative solutions to problems or changes in trends related to resource requirements, availability ,capability, and utilization.

- Ability to develop and utilize programming, query language or data mining, and appropriate data collection techniques.
