Maintenance Analysis Section (NH-0343-03) Published Feb. 17, 2026 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Supervisor, Maintenance Analysis Section (NH-0343-03) to work at the 412th Maintenance Group Maintenance Operations (412 MXG/MXO) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. To serve as a first level supervisor. Provides planning, organization, direction, and exercises control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Maintenance Analysis section. This position is responsible for supervising the development of products that tracks, analyzes, and presents information to help senior leadership assess the health of the unit's weapon systems and equipment. Responsible for managing the functionality of Maintenance Information Systems. As supervisor, manages workload requirements and executes/recommends personnel management actions to include annual appraisals and provides direction and supervision to subordinate personnel. Announcement Length/Closes: 10 Workdays Location: Edwards AFB, CA 93524 Typical 2026 salary range: $104,349 - $161,313 per year (includes Locality) Areas of Consideration (AOC): Installation - wide (Edwards AFB) Desired Skills: - 5 years of experience in maintenance analytical experience, aircraft status reporting, and aircraft documentation. - 5 years of experience using Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) - 5 years of experience using IMDS for Mobility (G081) - 5 years of experience using Office Products - 3 years experience supervising/managing personnel Major Duties: - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience in performing data analysis to create metrics, reports and presentations as required while ensuring valid statistical procedures are utilized. - Oversee the performance of in-depth studies on special interest items and adverse trend data requiring further investigation. Communicates trend data to the 412 MXG Commander along with probable causes for performance gaps. - Prepares and/or provides briefings and presentations on analytical findings and recommendations. Directs the identification and creation of key performance indicators, contributing to predictive modeling projects, and AtHoc reporting. Prepares comprehensive technical records and reports to present and interpret data, identifies alternatives, and justifies recommendations. - Provides direction in the area of maintenance management information systems, data extraction and interpretation to enable maximum responsiveness and effectiveness to operations and maintenance environments. Directs the documentation of enterprise architecture descriptions by defining data elements, rules and relationships using Department of Defense Architecture Framework guidelines for all Maintenance Analysis/Database Management locally developed databases. - Oversees establishment of a Data Integrity Team (DIT) and selects DIT members as required. Serves as an expert consultant and advisor to the Maintenance Group, Operations Group, tenant users, and provides database managers with the capability to support the 24-hour processing requirement while ensuring security is always maintained. - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the following: maintenance operations software (EMOC), scheduling software (CSE), applicable business rules, scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance requirements, and flight line aircraft maintenance activities. In-depth knowledge and skills associated with the application of Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and the IMDS for Mobility (GO81) information systems. - Ability to exercise personnel management principles and practices. Builds and manages workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs. Ensure that employees are appropriately interviewed, recruited, selected, appraised, and rewarded; take action to address performance problems as required. Qualifications/Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - Knowledgeable with the laws and regulations governing federal civilian personnel, negotiated labor-management agreements, and guidelines used for disciplinary actions and for resolution. - Ability to exercise personnel management principles and practices including interviews, personnel selections, performance evaluations and awards/promotion recommendations. - Extensive knowledge to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conceptualize, and devise innovative solutions to problems or changes in trends related to resource requirements, availability, capability, and utilization, summarizing results and making appropriate recommendations. - Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, curtesy, and diplomacy. - Establishes work standards and expectations for self and others.
