Interior Electrical Journeyman (WG-2805-10) Published Dec. 22, 2025 About the Role: The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Interior Electrical Journeyman (WG-2805-10) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Civil Engineer Group, 412th Civil Engineer Squadron, Facilities Systems Flight (412 CES/CEOF) at Edwards Air Force Base. In this position you will serve as an Interior Electrical Journeyman in the 412th Civil Engineer Squadron, Facility Systems Flight, Electrical Element. Interior Electrical Journeyman install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment. The main duties of the Interior Electrician are to install, modify, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls located in and near installation buildings and structures. Additionally, the Interior Electrician troubleshoots problem areas and inspects for defective equipment and faulty wiring. These duties include performing corrective and preventative maintenance, repair, operational (functional), and final testing; final tuning; alignment; and/or calibration of moderately complex electronic control systems, components, and/or subassemblies. Qualifications/Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain security clearance - This is a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical - You may be required to travel 1 or 2 days per month. - Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service - May be required to successfully complete a probationary period - Participation in direct deposit is mandatory - Required to obtain/maintain valid CA state driver’s license - Flightline Drivers License will be required with Controlled Movement Area certification. - Emergency overtime may be required and to work other than normal duty hours “on call”. - You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain government credit card for travel and travel related purchases. - You may be required to complete training, but not limited to, cathodic protection, lightning protection, airfield lighting system, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification - You may be required to obtain license to operate vehicles/heavy equipment. - Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) - Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. - Candidates not at the Journeyman level with verifiable qualifications and experience need not apply - Knowledge of technical practices in order to plan, layout, and complete maintenance or repair work needed for interior electrical circuit and of low voltage electrical equipment and distribution lines such as transformers, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments, control systems, series and parallel, circuits, line loading, line losses. - Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory, instruments used in shop, and trade practices and electrical equipment located at Edwards AFB and of troubleshooting and locating defects and trouble spots - Knowledge of safety regulations, procedures, and practices.
