About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Management Analyst/Office Manager (NH-0343-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing, 412 Operations Group, 452d Flight Test Squadron, 452 FLTS/CCQ at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

 

Serves as Officer Manager with responsibility for providing oversight for administrative management support to the organization's operations in one or more vital areas such as task management, information management, documents and reports preparations, time and attendance, record/files maintenance, EPR/OPR's, awards and decorations, training, and/or other related administrative activities. As such, the incumbent identifies, coordinates, monitors, controls, and evaluates the administrative support operations of the organization. Ensures coordination, adequacy, and timeliness of all actions and recommends improvements to various internal procedures and methods. This position serves as the principal advisor to the Director/Sq Commander on management issues/resolutions. As staff consultant, makes personal contact with all levels of ITF/CTF, AFTC, and Program Office Management. Analyzes manpower and personnel requirements for long term planning to meet mission requirements.

Typical 2025 salary range: $47,019 - $112,053 Per Year (includes locality)

Major Duties:

- Functions as the lead for all administrative processes and ensures that processes are in accordance with current Air Force, Test Wing, Operations Group (OG) and Squadron policies.

- Interprets complex administrative policies and regulations and is the point of contact for resolving non-routine administrative problems.

- Serves as a spokesperson for the organization at management meetings to explain and interpret policy, to negotiate important issues affecting the organization's objectives, and to make commitments where authorized.

- Oversee workflow management to include military performance reports, awards/ decorations, electronic Staff Summary Sheets (eSSS's), staff meeting slides, weekly reports and operating instructions.

- Responsible for administering the recognition program including preparing, reviewing, and submitting write-ups for military and civilian award packages.

- Oversee and coordinate quarterly/annual Commanders Calls, awards/recognition and retirement ceremonies for the organization.

- Incumbent is responsible for identifying, managing, and implementing training, continuous education, and professional development programs.

- Monitors civilian personnel and manpower actions assuring that all needed data and information are provided to management.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain a Secret or Top Security clearance with possible SAP Access.

- This is a designated Drug Testing Position

- Knowledge of the overall mission, functions, operations, and organization; and a variety of principles and processes applicable to the work operations of the organization.

- Knowledge of AFTC command and organizational structure, mission, programs and organizational relationships and both written and unwritten, pertinent regulations, procedures and policies in various organizations.

- Knowledge of legal and regulatory guidance and policies related to the training and APDP programs, both military and civilian, in order to analyze data and evaluate requirements for meeting certification levels and recommend remedial action for deficiencies.
