About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Business Unit Specialist (NH-0301-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing, 412 Maintenance Group, 412 Maintenance Squadron, and Maintenance Flight (MXMX) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.

Functions as Squadron, Division, or Branch Business Manager on budget formulation and execution; Capability Resource Estimates in support of Host Tenant Support Agreements and Statement of Capabilities; central customer support; contracts; and business case analysis on existing production processes and resources.

Typical 2025 salary range: $47,019 - $112,053 Annually (includes locality)

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible

Areas of Consideration:

  • 412 TW, Edwards AFB, CA

Desired Skills:

  • 4 years of experience in creating orders and vouchers in the Defense Travel System.
  • 3 years of experience completing Cost & Resource Estimates.
  • 4 years experience performing Air Force specific administrative duties.

Major Duties:

  • Assist Flight Commander with planning, organizing, coordinating, resourcing, training, and procurement needed to support organizational requirements.
  • Responsible for plans and managerial duties for organizational operations through coordination and interaction of Wing, Center, and Higher Headquarters Offices.
  • Conduct business case analysis and formulate recommendations to meet mission requirements.
  • Develop and train lower-level administrative personnel.
  • Serve as organizational customer service focal point.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain Security clearance
  • Ability to meet and deal with customers using a high degree of tack, diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information concerning managerial processes, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate action.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques, system, evaluation methodologies, regulations and precedents, and of basic objectives and policies governing various management operations.
