Col. (Dr.) Mary F. Carnduff is the Commander and Director, 412th Medical Group, 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base, California. In this capacity, she leads two hundred desert medics to provide medical, dental, and ancillary care for 16,000 beneficiaries and comprehensive medical readiness support to the Air Force Test Center and over fifty mission partners.
Carnduff was commissioned in 2002 through the Health Professions Scholarship Program. She completed her residency at the University of South Carolina and entered active duty in August 2011. As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fully mission qualified flight physician, she has served in clinical and leadership roles at the base and headquarters level. Prior to her current assignment she was the Commander, 316th Surgical Operations Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, where she led two hundred personnel across five flights to provide $36 million in ambulatory surgical care annually to over 407 thousand beneficiaries across the National Capital Region.
Carnduff has deployed in support of OPERATIONS ENDURING FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and SILENT HORNET.
