Mr. Daniel Torres is the Security Forces Deputy Director of Detachment 1, 412th Security Forces Squadron, Operating Location Air Force Plant 42, Palmdale, California. In this capacity, he advises the Defense Force Commander concerning the security of a $4.4 billion enterprise spanning over 3.2 million square feet of industrial space. He serves as a focal point for all defense matters, including the strategic direction concerning installation security, resource protection, weapons, and compliance programs for Plant 42, while simultaneously ensuring support for eight production sites and 8,500 Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Boeing contractors. Lastly, he serves as the installation/wing authority and expert on all matters concerning anti-terrorism and physical security requirements for 5,800 acres.
Mr. Torres entered service with the Department of the Air Force at AF Plant 42 Security Forces in April 2013. He began his service as a Security Forces Training Instructor. Prior to entering service with the Department of the Air Force Security Forces, Mr. Torres enlisted in the United States Air Force in April 1987, where he had a distinguished career in Security Forces and retired after 26 years of dedicated service in 2013 as a Senior Master Sergeant.
