4/11/2012 - EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --

Name:
Randolph D'Amico

Rank: Technical Sergeant

Unit/Duty Title: 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron, B-2 Lead Suitability evaluator

Hometown: Mesa, Ariz.

When did you join the Air Force? Sept. 10, 2002

Why did you join the Air Force? Primarily I joined to continue a family tradition. I also love being a mechanic and what is better than working on a B-1 Lancer? It's the one aircraft that can haul the mail with style. Additionally, the Armed Forces have a unique camaraderie that provides a home away from home and lets me know that my family and I are well taken care of.

What do you like most about your job? I like the fact that I get to test upcoming modifications to the bomber fleet. I can help correct negative trends and help provide a better aircraft to the war fighter. My job also promotes the "thinking out of the box" mentality to correcting issues and increasing efficiency.

What is your favorite thing to do around the area? I enjoy hanging out with my family and traveling to different places around the area.

Warrior Highlights: "Technical Sergeant D'Amico is the B-2 Suitability Section Lead. He's a natural leader, has creative solutions for problem solving, and is self motivated. He is always willing to do the little things to get the job done. I can always count on him to make the right decisions when needed. Sergeant D'Amico is a tremendous asset to the 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron and the Bomber Suitability Team. He was instrumental in integrating 25 maintainers from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, with the 31st TES Suitability personnel. They successfully completed Integrated Operational Test and Evaluations on the Fully Integrated Data Link system on the B-1B aircraft. He has also developed training plans for suitability, creating new 797's tasks and training aids which could become benchmarks for Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center use Air Force wide. His hard work has led him being assigned as the Lead B-2 Suitability evaluator."

- Master Sgt. Eric Coan, Bomber section chief
