8/31/2010 - An Edwards' based C-17 Globemaster III takes off Aug. 27 to conduct a flight test to see how it performs with different combinations of biofuels. The aircraft was powered by 50-percent JP-8, 25-percent hydro-treated renewable jet fuel and 25-percent of a Fischer–Tropsch fuel. The 418th Flight Test Squadron conducted flight tests during the week using different combinations of regular JP-8 and the HRJ. (Air Force photo by Kenji Thuloweit)
