418th FLTS, Boeing upgrade two C-130 cockpits

A C-130 Hercules taxis on an Edwards runway here June 16 after performing communication, navigation, radar and air data testing as part of the Avionics Modernization Program. The AMP upgrade includes replacement of 1960s era instruments with a modernized glass cockpit. Developmental testing of the C-130 AMP is scheduled to end in September 2009.
