For 1 July, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Bravo Plus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest COVID-19 confirmed cases include three members from 552 ACW (B282, B215), a 567 AMXS member in B2122, and a Navy member in B825. Health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly.

Recently, an exception to policy was created for Time-off-awards time limit in which an award must be used.  TOAs issued between 13 March 2019 – 30 September 2020 will not have an expiration date.  TOAs issued during this period will not have an expiration date.  TOAs issued on or after 1 October 2020 will be subject to the one year limitation for use. It may take several weeks for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service to implement this exception through the Defense Civilian Payroll System.  No actions are required by any impacted employee as the process will be done automatically for all unused TOAs that have expired during this timeframe. A new division was also stood up to enhance customer service for EFMP families, called the Exceptional Assignment Program, incorporating components of legal support, special education liaison and TRICARE support.
