For 22 June, Tinker AFB remains in HPCON Bravo due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest COVID-19 confirmed cases include three members of the 552 ACW and a Navy member. All have been quarantined. Health officials are actively tracing all recent movements and contacts in conjunction with affected units and local health authorities. Anyone considered to have been exposed to increased risk will be contacted directly.

Retired members empaneled to the Tinker MDG, can get their Weather/Safety leave paperwork completed by accomplishing the following steps:  a.  Call and leave a message for your health care provider at 734-2778. Leave most current email and phone number.  b.  The provider team will determine if the patient meets the criteria, complete the paperwork, and then email the patient the form. c.  The member gives the form to their leadership. This is for empaneled retirees only. Please, for their safety and ours, they should not come to the MDG to drop off forms or pick them up unless directed to by the provider team.

Late last week, the Air Force Surgeon General released a new policy on Pseudo Folliculitis Barbae. Effective immediately, members may be authorized five years for a shaving waiver due to PFB which will remain valid from the date of its initiation, regardless of member’s deployment or PCS to a new location. More information on this can be found through MyPers, the clinic, or AFI 44-102, Medical Care Management.

All playgrounds on base are open. Posted signs provide guidelines on using the equipment.
