Edwards bids farewell to Air Force's first C-17

The U.S. Air Force's first C-17 Globemaster III, known as T-1, takes off April 23, 2012, for the final time as it departs Edwards Air Force Base to arrive at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. T-1, tail number 87-0025, had its first flight on Sept. 15, 1991, when it was delivered from the Boeing C-17 final assembly plant in Long Beach, Calif., to Edwards AFB where it was used for flight test for 21 years.
