AFIMSC set to begin Red Hawk beddown efforts at JBSA

The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center will move forward with major construction work to support the beddown of a new aircraft and training mission at JBSA-Randolph. The fifth-generation jet trainer will replace AETC's aging fleet of T-38 Talon fleet with advanced technology.

Tuskegee Airman celebrates 102nd birthday at 12th FTW

Tuskegee Airman, retired Brig. Gen. Charles E. McGee, and several members of his family, visited JBSA Dec. 6 and were treated to a heritage tour of the 99th Flying Training Squadron, where they also saw a T-1A Jayhawk on the nearby flightline with his name painted on the side.

T-6A Texan II Crash

A 12th Flying Training Wing T-6A Texan II crashed near Rolling Oaks Mall at approximately 4 p.m. Sept. 18. The crew ejected and is safe with minor injuries reported at the site. Both were transported to the Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Medical Clinic for evaluation and both pilots were released
