Department of the Air Force Chief of Safety Maj. Gen. Jeannie M. Leavitt has released the recipients for the fiscal year 2022 Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff Safety Awards, as well as the Department of the Air Force Chief of Safety Awards.

“We empower our Airmen and Guardians at all levels to take bold actions to ensure mission success through proper risk management both on and off duty,” Leavitt said. “The Air Force and Space Force promote a culture where our people will step in and do something if a situation looks unsafe, so we can all live to be lethal.”

The FY22 Department of the Air Force Safety Awards Program provides organizations, teams, and individuals the opportunity to be recognized for their hard work, enhanced performance, accomplishments, and feats in safety.
