RANGE SUPPORT SERVICES (RSS) CONTRACT ANNOUNCED

The Air Force today awarded a contract to DynCorp Technical Services in Ft Worth, Texas, to support Air Force Materiel Command and Air Combat Command range support functions such as program management, security, transportation, airfield management, civil engineering, target management, services and environmental on the Nevada Test and Training Range. The contract award is for $26,637,849 with an estimated total value at approximately $479,000,000 for the potential period of performance over fifteen years. DynCorp Technical Services is a Limited Liability Company.

The contract award is a cost-plus award fee/term arrangement with a transition period beginning at time of award and full contract performance scheduled to begin October 1, 2002. Of the total amount to be subcontracted, 63.9 percent is designated to small business concerns, with five percent designated to small disadvantaged concerns. The small business subcontracted portion of this contract equates to over $14 million in each year over the life of the contract.
