The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Executive Officer (NH-0301-03) to work at the 412 Test Wing, USAF Test Pilot School (USAF TPS/CCE) at Edwards AFB, California.

NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.

This position has a typical 2024 salary range of $101,121 - $156,323 (includes locality).

Position specific skills and experience desired in a potential candidate:
- 5 years of USAF administrative experience required. 2 years administrative experience at the NH-03 level desired
- 2 years of 1st level leadership experience
- Knowledge of civilian and military administration. Ability to supervise employees using knowledge of personnel management regulations and procedures required to train, direct, mentor, motivate, and appraise employees
- Knowledge of 412 TW command and organizational structure, mission, programs and organizational relationships and pertinent regulations, procedures, and policies in various TW organizations
- Candidate must be reliable, dependable, and able to work independently and exercise good judgment with a high level of confidentiality. This person will be articulate, resourceful, and able to juggle many tasks at the same time under pressure and frequent interruptions
- Candidate must be able to plan, organize and coordinate work; analyze problems, collect data, and make sound, logical conclusions and meet established deadlines
- Candidate must be able to maintain a high level of attention to detail, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; maintain a filing system and keep working files; triage information and determine items that are not necessary for the higher leadership

The purpose of this position is to lead, plan, establish, administer, and direct policies, methods, and controls necessary for the effective management of Group-level administrative support programs. This position serves as the principal staff supervisor/advisor to the Commander and Group Senior Leadership on administrative management issues and resolutions and is the focal point for short and long range planning, management effectiveness analysis, and any administrative special projects. As a staff consultant, will make personal contacts with all levels of management at the 412TW, AFTC, STARCOM, and Higher Headquarters.

Major Duties
- Performs the full range of technical and administrative supervisory duties to include supervising and/or directing the daily activities of approximately 5-6 personnel (civilians, enlisted, officers, and/or contractors) engaged in executing the technical and administrative responsibilities assigned to the TPS Command Section
- Serves as the principal staff supervisor/advisor to the Commandant on administrative management issues/resolutions and is the focal point for special projects & studies
- Responsible for execution of the day-to-day TPS Command Section activities which include managing workflow; managing leadership calendars; handling front office visitors; tracking enlisted and officer performance reports (EPRs/OPRs), Promotion Recommendation Forms (PRFs), decorations, and electronic Staff Summary Sheets (eSSSs); developing staff meeting slides, weekly reports and operating instructions; resolving complaints; providing oversight of the Group additional duty assignments; and recommending actions IAW established AF and OPM processes
- Responsible for the planning, management and execution of the TPS protocol and public affairs programs to include conferences, briefings, ceremonies, official and social functions, social media postings, magazine articles, video documentaries, and guided tours that include Command, Center, Wing and foreign senior leaders and staff as well as various internal and external organizations
- Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other base organizations, senior leadership, representatives from other military services, Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, and other related civilian organizations

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- Knowledge of T&E operations, products, services, needs, and goals of program(s) and the organizations served, and related customer, functions, resources, and users. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
- Knowledge of civilian and military administration. Ability to supervise employees using knowledge of personnel management regulations and procedures required to train, direct, mentor, motivate, and appraise employees. Knowledge of EEO, safety, and security regulations, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of 412 TW command and organizational structure, mission, programs and organizational relationships and both written and unwritten, pertinent regulations, procedures and policies in various organizations
