Face coverings at the MPF, CAC/DEERS, ID cards, Commissary, BX and Shopette are mandatory!  All Civilian, Active Duty members and dependents are reminded to avoid visiting the Commissary, Base Exchange, Bldg 3000 and the Pharmacy on Wednesdays. Retirees are also being seen on Wednesdays at the CAC/DEERS office by appointment only.  Please call 661-277-4281 option 3, to make an appointment. Retirees may also utilize base facilities on Sundays.

  • 412th Test Wing Warrior Spotlight

    Congratulations to Christopher Benner, this week’s 412th Test Wing’s Warrior Spotlight. Before coming to Edwards, Benner was a Marine combat engineer and served two combat deployments, Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2010. Benner was also previously at the Defense Logistics Agency in Barstow, California. Here at Edwards, Benner is assigned to the 412th CES as a munitions maintenance mechanic and is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and delivering munitions. He has an associate’s degree in fire technology and is looking forward to completing his bachelor’s degree in business management and becoming a certified munitions inspector.   • Edwards AFB holds active-shooter exercise

    Team Edwards emergency first-responders conducted an active-shooter exercise at Edwards Air Force Base, California, Aug. 9 & 12. Members of the 412th Security Forces Squadron were on the scene within moments of the call of an active shooter at Desert Junior-Senior High School. Security Forces plays an integral role in the opening minutes of a shooting incident.
  • Fix these broken wings – part fabrication saves Air Force time, money

    Team Edwards members worked together to save the Air Force more than $1 million in repair costs recently at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Airmen from the 412th Maintenance Squadron discovered damages on a T-38 Talon during a 225-hour inspection.
