About the Role:

The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Management Assistant(NK-0344-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing, 412 Operations Group, 418 Flight Test Squadron, (418 FLTS/CC) at Edwards AFB.

 

In this position you will provide routine/non-routine support to assigned personnel for accomplishing functional duties and various program execution activities in established and specialized areas. Work supports efforts to evaluate or improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organization, associated support functions and programs using records, reports, forms, directive, and management processes.

 

Announcement Length/Closes: 10 Days

Location: Edwards, Ca (Edwards AFB)

Typical 2025 salary range: $47,019 - $75,722per year (includes locality)

Areas of Consideration (AOC): Department – wide (DoD)

 

Desired Skills:

 

- Experience in administrative support in a military or aerospace front office

- Experience with calendar management and meeting coordination for leadership

- Prior experience preparing official memos and correspondence

- Defense Travel System (DTS), Microsoft Office Suite in a government or military environment is desired

- Experience cultivating a positive and dependable presence working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

 

Major Duties:

- Provide advisory, consulting, and reviewing services for management operations and support functions.

- Technical writing and proofreading expertise in issues affecting policy and objectives

- Develops and maintains complete records that are accessible by organizational members

- Manages the awards/recognition program to include preparation and processing of certificates of service, retirements, awards, and other actions

- Manages and monitors suspense actions. Receives directive from higher headquarters, determine appropriate action officer and coordinate responses.

- Responsible for unit support programs spanning task management, Government Travel card (GTC) program. Government Purchase card program (GPC), safety program, Automated Data Processing equipment APDP accounts, supply program, and civilian time card program.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance

- Knowledge of rules, procedures or operations applied to assignments and to perform non-routine and procedural work such as preparing and editing documents, managing programs, maintaining files/records, planning, and preparing official documents.
