CMSGT IAN D. EISHEN

Chief Master Sergeant Ian D. Eishen is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 412th Test Wing, Edwards Air Force Base, California. He is the principal advisor to the commander on matters concerning readiness, training, education, and resiliency of the wing's 11,000 military, civilian, contractor personnel and their families on the second largest base in the U.S. Air Force.

He also represents the enlisted force at a multitude of committees, boards and steering councils supporting the wing's personnel across 57 organizations in developmental test and evaluation to advance multiple Department of Defense programs valued at $24 billion dollars. These test/programs include: F-35, KC-46, F-22, F-16, B-1, B-2, B-52, C-17, C-130, KC-135, RQ-4, autonomy, joint remotely piloted aircraft and other emerging technologies.

Chief Eishen entered the Air Force in January 2000 and graduated from the Intelligence Operations Specialist Course, in August 2000. His background includes various duties at the squadron, group, and wing levels including aircrew for short take-off and landing and special operations tactical ISR aircraft (559 combat hours), ground/airborne SIGINT, HUMINT, Foreign Internal Defense, Combat Search and Rescue, and unit support as well as Additional-Duty First Sergeant and deployments as a Senior Enlisted Leader.

His assignments include bases in the United States, Germany, Japan and numerous contingency deployments in South America, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific. Prior to assuming his current position he served as the Group Superintendent for the 548th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group, Beale Air Force Base, California.
