Senior Master Sgt. Jeff R. Buetemeister, Air Force Research Laboratory Senior Logistics manager and Quality Assurance superintendent, watches as his retirement flag is folded during a retirement ceremony at Test Stand 1-C March 31. Since arriving at AFRL, Sergeant Buetemeister has been responsible for revitalizing and standardizing the logistics program and taking it from “Non-Compliant” during the 2008 AFRL Staff Assistance Visit to a near flawless program that earned an overall “Excellent” during the 2011 Air Force Material Command, Logistics Compliance Assessment Program Inspection. AFRL USET PUMP
AFRL workers make necessary adjustments before lifting the USET turbo pump with a crane to attach it to AFRL's 2A rocket test stand. TSP SHINE AWARD
Along with the 2008 Lt. Col. Anthony Shine Fighter Pilot Award, Capt. Timothy J. Spaulding was also presented a knife by Colleen Shine, Colonel Shine's daughter. Her father collected knives.
