Chief Master Sgt. Beaudion, Women's History Month, AFFTC
Team Edwards celebrated Women's History Month March 22 during the Women's History Open House at the Air Force Flight Test Center Museum. At the event, Brig. Gen. Robert C. Nolan II, AFFTC commander, presented guest speaker, Chief Master Sgt. Christine Beaudion, 412th Maintenance Group Weapons Standardization Section superintendent, with an award for her contribution to Women's History Month. Beaudion spoke to attendees about overcoming adversity, making your dreams come true, and progress made through the incredible achievements of women throughout the years. Actress Nichelle Nichols, known for her role as Lt. Uhura on the iconic television series "Star Trek" spoke at the Women's History Month Luncheon sponsored by the Air Force Flight Test Center and NASA Dryden Flight Research Center March 29. Nichols spoke about the education and empowerment of women. Nichols worked with NASA to recruit the first female and minority astronauts for the Space Shuttle Program. United States Air Force Test Pilot School, Carmen Lucci
Col. Noel Zamot, United States Air Force Test Pilot School commandant talks with Brig. Gen. Robert C. Nolan II, Air Force Flight Test Center Commander and classmates from Captain Carmen A. Lucci's USAF TPS Class of 80B after the dedication ceremony March 17. Lucci and two other crew members were killed during a test mission March 3, 1981 when their A-26 Invader crashed near Three Sisters Dry Lake, northeast of Edwards. The control room dedication in memory of Lucci helps keep her memory alive and reminds students of the inherent dangers associated with flight test. (Air Force Photo by Jet Fabara)

United States Air Force Test Pilot School, Carmen Lucci
Ted Wierzbanowski from Class 80B unveils a shadow box outside the Carmen Lucci Control Room March 17 during the dedication ceremony. Wierzbanowski spent a significant amount of time with Lucci while they were both students at the United States Air Force Test Pilot School. Lucci was killed during a test mission March 3, 1981. Air Force Heraldry, 95th Medical Group
Col. Keith Donaldson, 95th Medical Group commander, looks over the beginning design of new heraldry for the 95th Medical Support Squadron with Lt. Col. Jerry Harvey, 95th MDSS commander. Squadrons in the 95th MDG began the design process for new heraldry in preparation for upcoming base structural changes.
