 
Base to show new Transformers movie
The Base Theater will show a free screening of the recently released Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie June 27 at 6 p.m.
Parts of the movie were filmed here and several of Edwards personnel may appear in the sequel.
Theater doors will open at 4 p.m. for open seating. People are asked to arrive early to ensure seating is available.

Bobcats
A bobcat, similar to the ones inhabiting Edwards licks its lips. Officials say bobcats roam base housing, gathering food. They choose base housing because residents have taught them that's where the food is. It is unlikely a coyote or bobcat will attack, they will however, defend themselves. (Courtesy photo)

Partial road closure on FitzGerald Boulevard
Hunt Construction is currently building 127 homes authorized in the 2006 Military Family Housing Military Construction bill in the Tamarisk Plains, Acacia Hills and Palo Verde Heights neighborhoods. Hunt construction will install turning lanes from FitzGerald Boulevard onto the Manzanita Loop beginning June 8. During this time, Hunt Construction will have an interior lane closure for the east and west bound lanes to allow for demolition of the medians and the construction of the turning lanes. Traffic will be allowed to travel on the east and west bound exterior lanes of FitzGerald Boulevard during the construction period. Call Joseph Hunt at 277-3791 for more information.
