 
Edwards ‘towers’ over competition, wins five airfield operations awards
The Edwards Control Tower received the D. Ray Hardin Air Traffic Control Facility of the Year award. The control tower team provided air traffic control operations for Air Force, Department of Defense and NASA assets. Edwards celebrates Global Hawk's 10-year birthday
The Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle lands here Feb. 28 after an eight-hour mission. The flight marked the 10th anniversary of the Global Hawk's first flight where the aircraft flew for one hour and reached an altitude of 32,000 feet above Edwards skies. Tech. Sgt. Hope Reales, 95th Communications Group client support administrator trainer, is the Team Edwards Noncommissioned Officer and Volunteer of the Quarter. Among some of her accomplishments during the quarter, Sergeant Reales filled in as the base career advisor and was selected for additional-duty first sergeant.
