Fighter aircraft makes emergency landing at Edwards AFB by 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs 6/23/2011 - EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- An F-16 fighter aircraft assigned to the 445th Flight Test Squadron made an emergency landing on Edward's lakebed runway 23 at approximately 5:15 p.m. today. The aircraft sustained damage but the two pilots onboard were uninjured during the landing. The aircraft originated from Edwards AFB and was on a local test support mission. A board of officers will investigate the incident.
