WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Starting in August, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, will realign 80 employees currently in support positions at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., to its Armament Directorate also located at Eglin AFB.

“This is part of a routine evaluation across the Center to ensure our structure and process are optimized to be as efficient and effective as possible to address today’s challenges,” said Lt. Gen. Shaun Morris, AFLCMC commander. “The realignment unifies engineers, financial managers, and other skills sets critical to the Armament Directorate’s current and future workloads.”

Overall, the realignment at Eglin is part of an initiative by AFLCMC to streamline support roles and responsibilities at its nine major operating locations across the United States, and will not result in any job losses or force members to relocate, as impacted personnel will remain AFLCMC employees at Eglin, now aligned under the Armament Directorate. Approximately 26 positions – tied primarily to human resource management – will align back to Wright-Patterson AFB, once the employees decide to leave, due to retirement or to pursue other opportunities.
