Mission

The mission of the Retiree Activities Office (RAO) is to provide information helpful to retirees of all services.

As the base level component of the Air Force Retiree Council, the RAO operates under Air Force Instruction 36-3106. It is supported by the 412th Test Wing, providing a liaison between the active duty units at Edwards Air Force Base and the retiree communities of all branches of the armed forces. We encompass Edwards, NAWC China Lake, Fort Irwin, USMCLB Barstow and NAS Lemoore. Information concerning DEERS, DFAS, TriCare for Life, Casualty, Space-A, SBP and VA, can be found here, as well as other resources useful to the retiree.

The RAO is continually recruiting dedicated personnel with a military background who may wish to join our staff of those who are "Still Serving."

RAO email: 412tw.rao@edwards.af.mil.

ATTENTION

The Retiree Activities Office will be closed Mondays and Fridays until further notice due to the lack of volunteers. The RAO is always looking for anyone that would like to volunteer one day a week for four hours to assist military retirees and dependents. Stop by and visit the RAO and one of the volunteers will be glad to talk to you about our mission - supporting military retirees and their families. The RAO motto: "Retiree's Still Serving."
